Karen Nilsson

Karen joined the Avia NG Team in 2025 and is based out of our Calgary office. Karen’s background is in health and safety and office administration. She will be responsible for everything related to health and safety across the company.

Karen is certified as a National Construction Safety Officer since 2013 and has many years of experience in heavy civil construction and earthworks, roadbuilding, and mine reclamation projects.  Most recently, Karen was involved in the West Calgary Ring Road project up to its completion date of 2023 which involved blasting 40M of rock through the mountain by COP.  That task alone was a monumental safety concern for homeowners and the public alike.
